Get ready for the Metaverse Fashion Week!

Fashion Week in the metaverse

In a little more than a week, the second annual Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) will begin. With new announcements from various platforms and brands every day, it continues to grow its programming and runs from March 28 to March 31. The event is sponsored by Decentraland and UNXD, and this year’s theme is Future Heritage.

Numerous news outlets are stepping up their coverage, and there is already a lot of buzz on social media. So we can anticipate the largest Metaverse Fashion Week to date later this month.

It is a milestone event in the global fashion industry with 60+ participating brands, artists, and designers. Over the course of the eventful week, a combination of legacy luxury fashion and digital-native brands will showcase their highly expected wearable collections, digital spaces, and breakthrough activities.

The Decentraland fashion week 2023 will create a link between the physical and digital worlds in a heartfelt way. The late Vivienne Westwood will be remembered by the Vueltta artists collective with a special tribute to the “punk queen of fashion.” To encourage people to learn more about the designer’s life and work, the installation was made.

Brands involved

The MVFW this year is receiving a lot less attention than it did last year. And the hype surrounding NFT and the Metaverse has subsided compared to previous years. Without counting the brands from the Decentraland community, about 30 brands have agreed to take part in the Decentraland fashion week in 2023. Including DressX, The Fabricant, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Perry Ellis, Dolce & Gabbana, Dundas, and more. Additionally, this virtual fashion week keeps drawing new participants, like Coach. Additionally, Adidas will be participating for the first time.
